The Author
Andrew Putnam has spent more than 30 years helping organizations deliver complex initiatives, assess troubled programs, recover projects at risk, and identify the root‑cause conditions that place successful outcomes in jeopardy.
Across a career spanning technology delivery, management consulting, and enterprise program assurance, he has helped organizations strengthen governance, manage risk, and improve the performance of their most consequential initiatives. Across those experiences, he has observed a consistent pattern: Projects rarely fail because of a single mistake. Instead, failure emerges through recurring conditions that quietly undermine progress long before traditional reporting reveals the full extent of the problem.
Those observations became the foundation for Stop Project Killers™, a practical field guide for project managers, sponsors, PMO leaders, and executives who want to stop treating symptoms and eliminate the conditions that cause project failure before recovery becomes difficult and costly.
Today, Andrew continues to help projects improve outcomes by focusing on what matters most: finding the real problem, restoring control, and helping teams take action before problems threaten successful outcomes.
